The Most Important Element of a Political Campaign
Here’s a quick plug for the poll that Killer Campaigning has featured in our website sidebar: what’s the most important element of a political campaign?
Space was limited, so we concentrated on five choices: Fudraising, Message, Authenticity, The Candidate and Grassroots Efforts. The list could have been much longer, of course, but I think that covers all of the major bases.
So, what do you think? The poll is going to remain featured for quite a while, so cast your vote and check back often to see if your fellow Killer Campaigning fans agree with your assessment.
There’s really no wrong answer; I can think of examples of winning campaigns that were primarily focused on each of the different choices in our poll. Whichever strategy your campaign focuses on, you’re likely to win on election day if you apply it better than anyone else.
Orchestrating a campaign that effectively taps into each one of these elements is difficult . . . but possible with hard work, a dedicated volunteer force and uncommon discipline.
We’ll be exploring each important campaigning element in future Killer Campaigning posts, of course, so stay tuned.
