H stakes and coroplastic are a mainstay for lawn signs in political campaigns. They don't look cheap so if something happens to them people get upset. Most people who have lawn signs anyway aren't volunteers, they are just nice people who said yes and promised support. Steal their nice-looking lawn sign and you will cause these folks to raise a stink about the opposing campaign - especially in close kniw communities.

The H stakes and coroplast signs are extremely hard to assemble. You or your volunteers will spend at least 3 times as long assembling them as opposed to the U shaped stakes.
