Political Campaign Strategist Banned from Trinidad for Helping Opposition Party
The Washington Examiner has an interesting story about Henry Bernard Campbell, a U.S. political campaign consultant who was banned from entering the island country of Trinidad because he was helping the opposition party with strategy for the upcoming general elections.
Campbell’s initial ban from the nation was ostensibly due to immigration issues, but Trinidad’s national security minister has now recanted and will allow the political strategist to enter the country and continue his work for the United National Congress Party. The opposition party had blasted the government for barring Campbell from entering the country.
Here’s hoping that Campbell’s stay in Trinidad is a safe one! Political campaign management can be a dangerous business . . .
