Campaign Ready Town Hall: Microsoft Politician Social Media Platform

Mashable has a good post about a new social media platform for politicians called TownHall that you should check out if you get a chance.  Looks like it could be a good tool to add to the arsenal for helping political campaign candidates engage in interact with their supporters.  It’s part of a suite of web tools for political campaigns called Campaign Ready.

Town Hall let you build sites that let your supporters communicate about campaign topics and connect online.  The web-based platform–which is hosted on Windows Azure–has plug-and-play options that let you create opinion polls,  reward participation, and promote popular topics.

I haven’t used Campaign Ready or Town Hall myself, but it looks interesting.  Leave a comment if you have any experience using it on your own local election efforts.
